Over 4.1 lakh people registered, out of which 7,300 families have been granted the ownership rights for PM-Unauthorised Colony under Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana, PM-UDAY Scheme. Launched on October 29,2019, PM-UDAY confers ownership rights to people residing in Delhi’s 1,731 unauthorised colonies.
As per the tweet released by Hardeep Puri, the minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, out of the total number of 4,19,486 people registered under PM-UDAY, 7,329 families have received the ownership rights. A step-by-step video explanation of the registration process was also shared to make people aware of the online registration process. The video asks people to contact the registered agency or visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC), if in case, they fail to do it themselves at home.
Delhi Development Authority is the appointed nodal agency for the scheme that marks the boundaries of these unauthorised colonies with the help of the Revenue Department of Delhi Government and Survey of India.
Under PM UDAY Scheme, DDA will scrutinise the documents and issue conveyance deeds along with authorisation slip for the government and private lands, respectively. The beneficiaries are also free to get their documents registered at sub-registrar’s office.
